How to clean your belfast sink

Daily cleaning

To maintain the appearance of your Belfast or Butler sink, it is important to clean it regularly. Begin by wiping down the surface with warm water and a mild detergent. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or scrubbers, as they can scratch the surface and damage the sink.

Monthly Cleaning

Monthly cleaning of your Belfast or Butler sink is essential to remove invisible grease that accumulates on the sink. For a deeper clean, use the Savile Row fireclay cleaning product, which is available for purchase below. Spray the sink and leave it for 45 seconds. Then, use a clean cloth with circular motion to wipe it off. You will see the fats from grease/meats separating, indicating that the grease is being broken down. Finally, wash it down with warm water to remove any residue.

Maintenance cleaning

For maintenance cleaning, we recommend using the Savile Row deep clean paste. This cleaning product is specifically designed to remove spider marks that may appear on the glaze of your Belfast or Butler sink. It is important to note that this paste will remove marks caused by stainless steel utensils that may appear as hairline cracks, but it will not remove actual cracks. To use the paste, apply it to a clean damp cloth and rub it in a circular motion until it becomes dry. Once the paste is dry, it will effectively remove spider marks. When using all Savile Row cleaning products, it is important to use general cleaning care and personal hygiene such as cleaning gloves and mask. A link to purchase the Savile Row deep clean paste is available below.
